August 1, 2024 — Professional Photographers of America (PPA) have selected five SIGMA lenses as part of their Hot Ones buyers guide for 2024. The news comes on the 25th consecutive year of Professional Photographer magazine’s Hot Ones selection.
The SIGMA lenses chosen are the 14mm F1.4 DG DN | Art and 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | Sports, both released in 2023 and featured in the magazine’s print edition, along with the 15mm F1.4 DG DN Diagonal Fisheye | Art, 50mm F1.2 DG DN | Art, and 500mm F5.6 DG DN OS | Sports, all released earlier this year and featured only in the online publication.
SIGMA’s 14mm F1.4 DG DN | Art lens was a first-of-its-kind wide-aperture prime lens designed with specifications for astro photography in mind. The long-awaited 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | Sports by SIGMA was the first to feature SIGMA’s new OS2 optical stabilization system, while perfectly complimenting the new SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II | Art lens.
