Benefit of the update
- Added the ability to assign specific functions to the focus ring during AF.*
Functions include: front dial, rear dial, aperture, shutter speed, crop zoom, exposure compensation, ISO sensitivity, white balance, color temperature, AF mode, photo style - Added the option to change the rotation direction of the focus ring during MF.**
- Added the option to display the aperture value as a T-stop during video recording.*
* Only on supported cameras: models include DC-S1RM2, DC-S1M2, DC-S1M2ES, DC-S5M2, DC-S5M2X, DC-S9.
** Only on supported cameras: models include DC-S5M2, DC-S5M2X, DC-S9.

For those who update the firmware in-camera:
Please select the applicable product from the following page, go to the download page, click “L-Mount”, read “Before updating” prior to updating the firmware and follow the update procedure

For those who own the SIGMA USB DOCK UD-11:
Connect the lens to your computer via the SIGMA USB DOCK UD-11 (sold separately), then open SIGMA Optimization Pro*. If the firmware isn’t the latest version, the following message will appear: “The latest lens firmware is available.” Click “Yes” to update.
* Before updating lens firmware via the SIGMA USB DOCK UD-11 for L-mount, please ensure that you have updated to the latest version of SIGMA Optimization Pro
