Two Sigma Art Lenses Selected for PPA Hot Ones 2026 Buyers Guide

Ronkonkoma, NY, July 31, 2026 – Sigma Corporation of America, the US subsidiary of Sigma Corporation (CEO: Kazuto Yamaki. Headquarters: Asao-ku, Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa, Japan), is pleased to announce that Professional Photographers of America (PPA) have selected two Sigma lenses as part of their Hot Ones 2026 Buyers Guide. The news comes with PPA’s August issue.

The two lenses chosen are the 135mm F1.4 DG | Art, released in September of 2025, and the new 35mm F1.4 DG II | Art released in April of this year. Both lenses are standout selections in Sigma’s lineup for their groundbreaking performance and flagship-level optical performance.

The 135mm F1.4 DG | Art is the world’s first autofocusing 135mm lens with a maximum aperture of f/1.4. Heralded for its portrait performance, this lens is known for its bokeh rendering derived from its extremely wide aperture and the compression that results from shooting at the distance demanded of a 135mm focal length.

The 35mm F1.4 DG II | Art is an extremely versatile lens, showcasing the best of what Sigma’s Art line optics have to offer. As a direct improvement to our flagship mirrorless lens for E-mount and L-mount camera systems, this lens features a body that is 14% smaller and 20% lighter than its predecessor, alongside superior optical performance and a faster focusing system.

Professional Photographer is a publication designed to advance readers in their photographer careers through artistic, technological and business-oriented content. Their Hot Ones buyers guide highlights new lens releases tested through editorial reviewing standards.
