April 18, 2024 — The SIGMA 10-18mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary has been named Best APS-C Wide-Angle Zoom Lens at the TIPA World Awards 2024 alongside the SIGMA 500mm F5.6 DG DN OS | Sports for Best Super Telephoto Prime Lens.
A complimentary lens to SIGMA’s 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary lens — which won a TIPA World Award in 2022 — the 10-18mm is SIGMA’s premier wide-angle crop sensor zoom lens. The 10-18mm F2.8 boasts the title of the smallest and lightest wide-angle zoom for the APS-C mirrorless ecosystem thanks in part to its unique push-on petal type hood. This hood type is a first for SIGMA and has allowed the lens’s weight to be reduced by mere grams in an effort to create the most compact wide-angle zoom possible for APS-C.
Featuring a constant 2.8 aperture and a full frame equivalent focal length of 15-27mm, the 10-18mm is primed for landscape and street photography. Designed to minimize focus breathing, the 10-18mm is also a choice option for recording video, and allows for a seamless vlogging experience due to its compact form factor.
The 10-18mm F2.8 released in the fourth quarter of 2023 and continues to mark SIGMA’s effort towards developing a versatile lineup of premium crop sensor lens options. The 10-18mm is available for Sony E mount, L mount, and Fujifilm X Mount.
